Circle to Search could come to Google Chrome on desktops

While Google Chrome for desktops currently features Google Lens to search for text and images on the search engine, Google appears to be developing the Circle to Search-like UI for the web browser, as

). As you can see in the video below, when you click the Google Lens extension, a Circle to Search-like UI will appear. You can click and drag using the mouse pointer to draw around whatever you want to search on the screen.

Once you draw around the content on the screen, the selected area is highlighted in a rounded rectangular shape. Then, the information about that content is searched using Google. Matching search results are then showcased in Google Chrome's sidebar on the left side of the screen. This makes searching for anything much easier than earlier. However, it is not as fluid as it appears on Android smartphones.

You can watch the video below to see how Circle to Search with Google works on Galaxy phones. The story continues after the video.

This new search UI is currently being tested in Google Chrome, and it is expected that Google will release the new design to all users with a future update. This feature will likely come to ChromeOS, Linux, macOS, and Windows operating systems. So, you should be able to use it on your Galaxy Book or Galaxy Chromebook laptops.
