Vivo is going to launch the company’s next set of flagship smartphones, which will have three devices, X100s, X100s Pro, and X100 Ultra, on 13 May 2024. Last month, we that the X100 Ultra will feature Samsung’s 200MP camera sensor at the rear. Now, a new leak reveals that the device is going to use another component made by Samsung.
According to a post on Weibo from Experience More, the X100 Ultra will feature Samsung Display's E7 AMOLED display which will have a 2K resolution (). From what we could gather, this is the same series of displays that Google uses for the Pixel 8 Pro and iQOO uses for the 12 Pro.
The leak also reveals that that the X100 Ultra will have the chipset, Vivo’s in-house developed V3+ imaging chip, and a 5,500mAh battery with 80W wired charging and 30W wireless charging.
Apart from Samsung’s ISOCELL HP9 sensor, which will be used as a periscope camera, the X100 Ultra will have three cameras at the rear, a wide-angle unit, an ultrawide-angle unit, and a telephoto camera. Other specs of the device could include up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, and an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
The phone is expected to cost CNY 6,699 for the 12GB+256GB variant, CNY 7,499 for the 16GB+512GB version, and CNY 8,499 for the 16GB+1TB model.
